AGA Says US Online Casino, Online Poker Revenue Improved Year-Over-Year

Despite being illegal in most of the country and limited in states where it is permissible, US online gambling continues to grow. The latest US online casino revenue figures from the American Gaming Association are another signal indicating that growth.

According to the AGA’s tracker , online casino and online poker play from all US jurisdictions produced $406.4 million in win for the operators in May 2022. The AGA says that’s an increase of 30.9% from the same month last year.

It’s no record or even an across-the-board uptick, though. April 2022 actually saw a higher total of $416.4 million and a larger year-over-year increase. The second quarter of this year will be hard-pressed to keep pace with the first, despite April’s and May’s gains.

Online casino and online poker revenue were up an impressive 53.9% from the first quarter of 2021 to the first quarter of this year. If a 30% growth rate ends up being more of a mean that bumper quarters regress to, however, many operators in this space would likely take that.
